Mystery Art
The pose, expression, and art style are a mystery. You won't know what the piece will look like until it's finished!
I love experimenting with wildly different art styles, so expect to be surprised.
Prices may vary slightly depending on what style I pick, but will always be discounted compared to regular commissions.

Terms of Service
By commissioning me, you are stating that you have read and agree to the following terms.
TL;DR
Unless otherwise negotiated, payment is either 100% upfront, or 50% upfront and 50% upon completion; and the upfront portion is expected within 10 days of invoice.
Paypal invoices and USD/CAD only.
Client may re-upload the watermarked image anywhere with credit given via a link to my ArtStation, i.e. https://kaykao13.artstation.com
Client must provide me with at least one clear visual reference and/or a detailed description, so I know what to draw.
Artwork cannot be claimed as your own, nor can it be majorly edited, including via AI tools.
Training AI on my work is strictly forbidden.
Commercial usage is prohibited unless otherwise discussed.
Refunds are given based on how much work has been done.
I reserve the right to refuse my services to a client for any reason.
In your commission inquiry, please include the phrase "Spectral Bat" so I know you've read my ToS.
Full Terms
IMAGE COPYRIGHTI, the Artist, retain full and exclusive rights to the original artwork. The Client may not claim it as their own or use it for anything other than personal use.All commissioned artwork is for non-commercial purposes only.Redistribution of my artwork for use in printed merchandise or as promotion of goods, services, or social media pages is prohibited unless otherwise agreed upon.
CONDITIONS FOR REPOSTINGThe Client has permission to repost the Artwork wherever they would like as long as proper credit is given (a link to my ArtStation, https://kaykao13.artstation.com) and my watermark/signature remains intact and unaltered.
PROHIBITED ACTIONSThe Client may NOT:Alter my artwork in any way without asking permission beforehand, with the exception of cropping/resizing the image for personal use.Trace, photoshop, or otherwise directly re-purpose the image or parts of the image.Claim the artwork as their own.Use AI to alter the artwork and/or use the artwork to train AI.
PAYMENT AND PRICINGI accept only USD and CAD through Paypal invoices.Commissions can be paid either 100% upfront, or 50% upfront and 50% upon completion.Do NOT send me any payment until I've sent you an invoice. Do NOT send me payment outside of the invoice I send you. The upfront portion of payment is expected within 10 days of invoice.Rates are subject to change without notice, but will not apply retroactively. Invoices sent before the change will not be updated.
REFUND POLICYIf the commission is canceled (by me or the Client) before work has started, then the Client will receive a full refund.If the Client cancels the commission after work has started, the amount refunded will be based on the work completed and up to my complete discretion.I reserve the right to cancel a commission at any time, for any reason, and without explanation.If I cancel the commission due to my inability to complete it at any state, a full refund will be given.
VISUAL REFERENCE GUIDELINESClient must provide one or more clear visual references and/or detailed description describing what they want me to draw. Any information that is helpful in correctly rendering the character(s) is appreciated.There may be some simplification of details for more complex characters.
WORKFLOW PROCESSClients will receive periodic status updates as I work on their commission. At minimum Client will be contacted at each major stage of completion (sketch, inking, rendering, etc), at which point work will not continue until the Client has either approved the current stage or asked for a revision.Mystery Art commissions are exempt from the above rule regarding status updates; the Client will not receive visual updates for Mystery Art commissions.If there are any delays in the completion of a commission, I will notify the Client.Completion time of a commission is highly variable. Depending on the complexity of the piece and other factors, expect anywhere from 1 week to 2 months.
REVISIONS AND EDITSAny major revisions, e.g. significant changes to the piece's composition, the character's pose, and redrawing parts of the image, must be made while the piece is in the sketch stage.After the sketch has been approved, no major edits or changes will be made. If the Client requests major edits after the sketch was approved, a price for the edits may be discussed.If I, the artist, make any errors in the character design, accessories, or other visual elements which were specified in the initial visual/written reference(s), I will make the edits at no additional cost.
MISCIf the Client does not want their commission posted online, they must tell me when they order it. Unless agreed upon I reserve the right to post the finished work and/or progress shots online for self-promotion, and other purposes not covered here.These Terms of Service may be subject to change at any time without notice.
